Jon Schlesinger

Jon leads Formation with a steady mix of strategy, creativity, and perspective. He works closely with clients to uncover what makes their work meaningful—and to shape brands and messages that reflect it honestly and clearly.
From early discovery through execution, Jon guides projects that support growth, new initiatives, and long-term positioning. He’s known for asking the right questions, keeping things grounded, and bringing a sense of humor to complex challenges.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Boston University.

Founder · Principal, Design Director
Matt leads Formation’s visual design and digital work, shaping identities, websites, and systems that are both thoughtful and functional. With a background that bridges design and technology, he brings clarity and rigor to every visual decision.
Matt’s work balances craft with practicality—ensuring that what looks good also works well, adapts over time, and supports real goals.
He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communication from the University of Houston and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Strategist · Lead Writer
Laura helps organizations find the right words—and the confidence to use them. She brings a sharp ear, a strong sense of structure, and a deep respect for the people behind the work.
Whether developing brand narratives, project stories, or positioning language, Laura has a talent for distilling complexity into writing that feels natural, clear, and purposeful.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Washington.

Eleanor Olson
Studio Manager
Eleanor keeps Formation’s work moving smoothly, bringing organization, focus, and creative insight to every project. With a background in fine arts, she combines a strong visual sensibility with a detail- oriented approach to project coordination and design support.
Eleanor plays a key role in maintaining clarity across teams and timelines, while contributing a thoughtful eye to brand and digital work.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.
